Responsible Care is an international initiative voluntarily developed and adopted by those who manufacture or handle chemicals to secure environment and safety at every stage of chemical life cycle, namely research and development, production, distribution, in-use and disposal. Responsible Care was initiated in Canada in 1985. The International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) was established in 1990. Since then, this activities have been introduced in 53 countries around the world as of October, 2007.
Basis of Responsible Care Activities
We implement Responsible Care activities focusing on the following five aspects. We will also publicize our performance results to promote communications with the public.
Responsible Care is implemented in accordance with the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle.
Taoka Chemical‘s System for Implementing Responsible Care Activities
To promote Responsible Care activities efficiently, we have established a Responsible Care Committee with the President as the chairperson.
